On the first day of my 2022 turkey season there are no signs of turkeys. Reminds me of when I was a kid back in the 70s before the DNR reintroduced the turkeys back to Wisconsin. Within in time the turkeys will be back on our property. Takes time for our new habitat that we created to be able to sustain a population for the turkeys. Hopefully one comes by so I can fill the freezer. Going to be a long winter with limited protein. The chickadees are starting to look tasty.
